DARBY RIVER runs through WILSONS PROM NATIONAL PARK and this was taken with wonderfully stormy skies on the horizon.
South Gippsland is a magnificent place to live and I’ve dedicated quite a lot of time taking photographs of South Gippsland Country Towns, coastal areas, Coastal And National Parks, flowers, grardens, moss and fungi, as well as Tourist Attractions And Mountains and more…You’ll find a huge store of fabulous images at the South Gippsland Photo Gallery too.
With the onslaught of BUSHFIRES AT WILSONS PROM, it will be nice to see heaven shine down yet again.
This collection of sea shells on the beach at San Remo near the bridge to Phillip Island, makes a beautiful addition to out Photo Gallery.
The walking track to Tongue Point from the Darby Beach car park at Wilsons Promontory National Park is quite moderate and very scenic…with expansive views across Bass Strait, secluded beaches along the way and magnificent granite cliffs and giant boulders scattered around…it would be easy to imagine dinosaurs living happily in such a lush and protected area.
Gorgeous sunsets blow me away! This one at Port Welshpool in South Gippsland was quite stunning over the harbour.
Cotters Beach is located at Wilsons Promotory National Park. The array of driftwood and other material washed up is quite fascinating. The area also contains important aboriginal archaeological and cultural items. Just like most of the beaches at ‘The Prom’ the sunsets here are quite spectacular, as seen in the photos HERE. Make sure to take your camera when you visit too.
These Native birds are quite humorous to watch. This one had made its home on the top of Mount Oberon at Wilsons Promontory National Park in Victoria…If you weren’t watching, this Australian Raven would snatch the food out of your hand.
Secluded and definitely NOT for swimming, but the Foster Beach creates an interesting place to fossick on the waters edge – and take some great photographs.
The contrast of the rusted out car wreck, the fire burnt bushland and the reflection from the grey water gave me a great opportunity to play with the combinations of orange colour after the Mirboo North bush fires in February 2009.
Squeaky Beack at Wilsons Promontory National Park, the most popular tourist destination in South Gippsland - simply beautiful!
The track to the boat ramp at Foster Beach looks like it could go on forever…black and white photography creates drama and impact.
